Wedding - Katlyn and Andy - July 20, 2019 - On location in Smoky Lake, AB
“Marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s something you do. It’s the way you love your partner every day.” – Barbara De Angelis
I know you hear me say this all the time, but I really do love my career. I adore getting to know my couples and families and see how they get to spend some of the happiest days of their lives, with the people they love the most - and it’s actually pretty great.
I must say - I love the classic vibe of this wedding and the delicate details that went into this day. You can see Katlyn is the epitome of classic beauty and her dress fit her like a glove. Her hair and makeup were perfection and they highlighted her natural beauty. Her bridesmaids were stunning and they all beamed with happiness for their friend who was just about to marry the love of her life and were so excited to pop the bubbly to celebrate the happy couple and their wedding day. The groom and his groomsmen were very sharp with their grey suits which fit so well and the classic look of a white button down shirt with a vest is just simply perfection. Also, check out the cutest little ring bearer and most beautiful flower girl - I just can’t with how adorable they are.
The way Katlyn and Andy laugh together might be my most favourite thing about them. I know a couple that makes each other laugh - and not the little giggles but genuine laughter, it is actually infectious and the people around you can’t help but smile too.
And dang, you all were fun!
And the people you choose to be a part of your bridal party - those who get to stand up with you as you profess your love and commitment - they are committing with you as well. A successful marriage is surrounded by positive influences and those usually come in the form of friends. Your group of people - your tribe - will help you both in the good times and the bad, and the tribe Katlyn and Andy had I can tell are good ones. They were fun loving and carefree and you can genuinely see how much they love the newlyweds.
This wedding was on one of the hotter days of the summer, and we relied on a jet skier to provide us with some cool mist and it might just one of the funnest shots I’ve done in a long time.
Andy, Katlyn - you are now Mr & Mrs and I am so so blessed to have witnessed it all, as you are two beautiful souls with a lifetime of love and laughter ahead of you.
